Juno spent two years at Cozy-Hollow Alpines and returned to our herd late this fall. We are thrilled to have him back. Juno reminds us of his sire, being long, tall, uphill, and stylish. He is elegant and very correct with excellent feet and legs and a sound front-end assembly. He is also level over the topline and rump with flat, open ribbing.

Juno’s’ daughter Cozy-Hollow Juno Rumba was a competitive kid this year winning GCH and BJDIS. We anticipate using Juno heavily next fall, and we plan to get him out in the show ring in 2007.

Thank you Carrie and Loretta for the opportunity to bring Juno back into our herd!

Juno is closely related to many of our does. We brought him back into the herd because we want to reintroduce the Iron Rod bloodline into the herd.

Aladdin has an outstanding pedigree featuring two of our favorite Alpine does, Amethyst, and Kassandra. We are thrilled to own this handsome buck, and have used him heavily. Aladdin stands on strong square and correct feet and legs. He is well balanced, smoothly blended, and level throughout. Our first Aladdin kids were exceptional. Aladdin’s first daughters have freshened the spring in several herds. His daughters have capacious mammary systems with lots of milk. We love our Mairedith; her udder is socked on with extremely tight attachments.  We welcomed many more Aladdin kids in 2007, and continue to be very pleased with his influence. Aladdin kids are smoothly blended with great width throughout. They are level and have strong bone and excellent feet and legs. We have chosen to keep another Aladdin daughter, India, and look forward to watching her mature.

Sold. Thank you!

We have long admired the Iron Rod herd, and we would like to thank Richard and Rica Waldman of Nodaway Alpines for making “Dreamy” available to us. A very stylish buck, Dreamy displays the extreme correctness and elegance that is a trademark of Iron Rod. He is sharp and dairy with exceptional length of body and neck. At five years of age Dreamy stands 37” at the withers and weighs 300 lbs with a powerful, smoothly blended front end. His feet and legs are correctly and widely set. Dreamy has sired some beautiful kids, many with one or more CH legs. These offspring include Nodaway Dream Sheila, 2nd junior kid ’00 Nationals, and at least two permanent GCH daughters.

He has also performed well in the ring, earning his permanent championship. The Nodaway herd retained his son Dreamweaver who has 2 GCH legs at two years old. Our Dreamy daughters are gorgeous. His kids are stylish, uphill, correct, and growthy. His daughters are freshening with beautiful mammary systems.

We sold Dreamy in 2004. His daughter lives on and has matured into an outstanding doe. We look forward to using Dreamy’s son Juno this fall and welcoming more Dreamy grandkids into the herd.

We would like to thank Cheryl Nestor for her gift of this gorgeous buckling. Caspian is tall, sharp, and angular. He is smoothly blended and extremely level over the back and rump. Candace is a prepotent doe who has passed her strong points to her daughters, including GCH Cassidy, 2002 Spotlight Doe and Candleinthewind EX 90 VEEE. His first kid crop was exciting. Five of his six kids were does, we kept Antoinette and she is an extremely sharp, stylish, level, showy kid, with exceptional width and depth. We used Caspian heavily this fall, including repeating the breeding that produced Antoinette. Antoinette freshened with an outstanding mammary system. We are very pleased to have another Caspian daughter in the herd, Jacqsonné.

Caspian has been sold and is listed for reference only.

 *B WAIILATPU WRR SOCRATES

American Alpine

DOB: 4-18-04

Chamoise with black stockings and trim,

white splashes, and blaze

Sire: *B Willow Run Caesar Redemption

SS: +*B Willow Run Caesar

SD: SGCH Willow Run Armand Rishona 4-01 EX 92 EEEE, National Champion Alpine 2000, 2002,2003, and 2004!!

Dam: GCH Waiilatpu Newbold Safina 4*M 5-05 EX 92 EEEE 3-10 265 2680

DS: +B Waiilatpu Yreka Newbold (at least seven GCH daughters)

 DD: GCH Waiilatpu Cowboy Spanky 3*M 5-00 EX 91 EEEE 4-08 298 3070

Socrates was an exciting addition to our herd. We admire his beautiful dam Safina. Safina was an undefeated yearling milker, earning a milking leg. She finished her GCH at age two, and has since won many BOB and BDIS awards. She was 5th place four year old at the 2003 ADGA National Show, and 10th place in 2005 while milking through. Safina has a classic Alpine head and an exceptional mammary system. Her rear udder is extremely high and wide with a lovely extension to the fore. She oozes with dairy character.

Socrates’ sire Redemption is tall, sharp and level with a wonderful disposition.  Redemption’s dam, Rishona is absolutely breathtaking to look at in the ring. She has been National Champion in 2000 with Best Udder, 2002 with Best Udder, and 2003 with Reserve Best Udder and again in 2004.We are thrilled to have a grandson of this famed and phenomenal doe.  Redemption is a full brother to Raisa the 2001 Reserve National Champion. His spectacular littermate sister Revenge was 1st/1st udder two year old of 80 at the 2004 Nationals.

Socrates is a handsome young buck. He is sharp, and dairy with open ribbing like his dam. His feet and legs are strong, square and sound, and he is level with a wide, flat rump. We were extremely pleased with our Socrates kids. Socrates’ daughters freshened beautifully.

Daughter Paris had many 1st’s in competitive classes, and one Best Udder Of Breed as a yearling! Socrates adds height; his daughters have sharper withers and tighter smoother shoulders than their dams. He flattens rumps, adds style and sharpness, and udders are tightly attached with beautiful well-delineated smaller teats.

Socrates littermate Saige was 1st/1st udder at the D1 Alpine Specialty Show her only time shown in 2006 and appraised 2-04 VG 89 VEVE.

Socrates has been SOLD.
