Farmer's Market in Chattanooga: The Brainerd Farmer's Market will be held the last Saturday of each month until the regular market season begins again April. Jan. 28th was the first one. The next one is scheduled for Saturday February 25, from 11am till noon. We hope to see you there! For map and directions, click here.

About Our Soaps
    
Our soaps are handmade in Dayton, Tennessee with fresh milk from our Alpine dairy goats.
Goat milk has been used as a luxurious beauty aid for centuries. The milk proteins, which contain alpha-hydroxy acids and lactic acid, are helpful at renewing skin cells.
The pH is much closer to our skins pH than commercial soaps.
Goat milk is rich in proteins, vitamins, and minerals, creamy and moisturizing, a special treat for your skin.
Our goal is to make gentle, natural bath and body products that gently clean and moisturize. Our products are earth and skin safe.
We make soaps in a wide variety of scents, using both essential oils and fragrances. Our unscented and essential oil soaps are all natural!
  These soaps are handcrafted and may vary slightly in bar shape and size. Its part of their handmade charm :)
Average bar size 6-7 ounces. More than one ounce of goat milk used in every bar!

Seasonal Soaps
Throughout the year, we make special soaps to match the season. Fall scents include Apple Alamode and Pumpkin Pie, Christmas season soaps include Candy Cane. We often have new seasonal scents every year.
Essential Oil Soaps
Essential Oils are extracts of the natural oils in plants. Essential Oils are therefore 100% natural, and the best ingredient to make many of our wonderfully scented soap while still having a 100% natural bar.
Fragrance Oil Soaps
Fragrance Oils are made synthetically. This allows many more delicious scents than are available with Essential Oils, and they are also less expensive, though just as luxurious.
Scent Free Soaps
These soaps have no added scents. Perfect for sensitive skin and noses, yet still has the smooth silky feel provided by the goat milk in the soap.
Other Products
We have a number of other products available. These include lip balms, skin lotions, laundry soap, and bargain soaps. We are in the process of making more products including new scents and liquid hand soap. Our farm also produces a number of products. Check out our Products page for information. Sea Salt Caramels
|
Sea salt caramels have become increasingly popular, and we chose this scent to be our new winter fragrance. Sea Salt Caramels fragrance begins with top notes of sweetened creamed butter and sea salt; followed by middle notes of caramel; sitting on base notes of vanilla, maple, and sweetened condensed milk. Caramel colored bars topped with shavings of white unscented soap. This smells good enough to eat, but don't!

Tea Tree
|
Tea tree oil has wonderful properties that makes it a popular natural agent for curing all three types of infectious organisms: fungus, bacteria, and virus. More importantly, it is known to effectively fight a number of infections that are resistant to some antibiotics. This pretty layered bar is colored with spirulina, an algae "superfood" high in vitamin and mineral content. Tea tree oil has a strong fresh "clean" scent. We use a pure tea tree essential oil.

Felted Soap
|
Each bar of felted soap is a bar of our soap wrapped in our own farm grown Jacob sheep wool and hand felted. They are decorated with some dyed Corriedale wool rovings.
Felted soaps lather extremely well. The felting shrinks with the soap, and acts as a built in washcloth. Keep your soap on a draining soap dish, and let it dry between uses for maximum life. Once your soap is gone, the felt makes a nice scrubby, or even a colorful coaster!
Each one is handmade, and will vary slightly in design. Custom requests for scent or color are welcome. Great gifts!.

Why Use Natural Lip Balm?
Shea butter is the most important ingredient in our lip balm. Shea butter's effect on the skin is different from that of petroleum jelly. Instead of lying inert on the surface of the lips, it is absorbed by the skin cells. Because it improves the moisture retention capacity of your lips, your lips become dry and chapped much less frequently.
Shea butter moisturizes the skin and restores the skin cells' elasticity when applied to the lips. It not only hydrates your skin cells it can also help the cells regain their natural elasticity so that they are better able to keep moisture from escaping.
Shea butter contains both a high moisturizing fraction and an extraordinarily high healing fraction.
Petroleum-based lip balm doesn't pretend to fix the problem that causes dry chapped lips. Instead, it basically acts as a band-aid - slightly moisturizing the surface of the lips and trapping the moisture there, thus temporarily making the lips less dry.

Soap Ingredients
Some bottles of pure essential oils waiting to be made into soap.->
Our soaps are made with:
saponified sunflower oil, coconut oil, olive oil, lard; goat milk; fragrance oil or essential oil; and ultramarines and micas for color.
Some soaps have ingredients such as vitamin E, aloe vera juice, ground cucumber, strawberry seeds, and dried herbs or teas.
We use only natural colorants; ultramarines and micas. We leave many of our soaps in their natural color; these are generally shades of white through tan. Soaps scented with vanilla or cinnamon type fragrances will turn a shade of brown. Herbs and botanicals may affect color slightly too. We do not use any chemical colorants.
There are numerous clays mined from the earth that are beneficial to the skin! We use Kaolin clay and French green clays for their beneficial properties.
All soaps are handmade.

Most of our soaps are $5-$6 per bar. For every four bars of soap, get one free. If your order qualifies, click here to order your free bar.

Packaging
Our bars of soap are packaged in clear shrink-wrap.
Tracking Your Order
When will you ship my order? Most orders ship within 24 hours. Orders received over the weekend will ship on Monday. Feel free to contact us to learn the status of your package.
Shipping Costs
Shipping Soap is easy and inexpensive. We ship USPS and most of our packages will ship Priority Mail, 2-3 business days.
These rates are current as of Jan 26, 2012 and reflect the new USPS rates as of that date.
